What’s Not Covered

  • Aftercare issues: Drought/under-watering, over-watering, missed watering schedule, failure to use root-zone mulch, or planting too deep/too shallow.
  • Environmental damage: Salt or chemical exposure, mower/string-trimmer injury, construction damage, wildlife or pet browsing.
  • Site mismatch: Poor drainage, standing water, inadequate sunlight, soil extremes, or planting outside recommended hardiness.
  • Annuals, mums, houseplants, roses, azaleas, dogwoods, crape myrtles, non-plant items (soils, mulch, pottery, décor), and clearance or final-sale plants.

Keeping Your Coverage Intact

Plant correctly: Set the root flare at or slightly above grade; do not bury stems.

Mulch smart: Apply 2–3 in. over the root zone, pulled back from trunks/stems.

Water deeply, not daily: As a guideline for trees, apply ~10 gallons per inch of trunk caliper per watering; adjust for rainfall and soil.

Use Root Stimulator: At planting, then monthly in Oct/Nov and again in Mar/Apr/May to reduce transplant shock and encourage new feeder roots.

Ask early: If something looks off, contact us right away—small tweaks often save a plant.

Can I swap varieties with my credit?

Yes—credits may be used toward any in-stock replacement plant of your choice.

What if deer ate my plant?

Animal damage isn’t covered. Ask us for deer-sensible alternatives and protection tips for high-pressure sites.

Do wholesale purchases qualify?

No, the 6-month, half-cost guarantee does not apply to wholesale purhases.

Do discounted or final sale purchases qualify?

No, the 6-month, half-cost guarantee does not apply to discounted, clearance, or final sale items.

What about perennials that go dormant?

Dormancy isn’t failure. If you’re unsure, bring photos or a sample—we’ll help determine viability.
