Apollo Sugar Maple is native deciduous tree with an unusually upright and narrow crown. The deep green palmate foliage turns blazing shades of yellow-orange to red in fall. Grows best in full sun with rich and moist well-drained soils. Apollo has improved tolerance for summer heat and resistance to Japanese beetles.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Medium maintenance. Water regularly. Susceptible to verticillium wilt, anthracnose, cankers, leaf spot, and tar spot. Also susceptible to aphids, borers, and scale. Leaf scorch may be a problem with drought conditions in full sun. Sugar Maples are usually intolerant of road salt and pollution.
