Polka Dot Begonia is an upright tropical perennial with semi-woody canes sporting large dark green wing-shaped foliage with red undersides and white spots. Its pendulous clusters of flowers can be red, pink, or white and from late spring into fall. Flowers best in part shade and rich, moist well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance. Let soils dry between watering- wet soils can lead to root rot. Susceptible to powdery mildew, stem rot, and botrytis, especially in humid areas without air circulation. Possible pests include whitefly, mites, thrips, and mealybugs.
LANDSCAPE USES: Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Naturalized Areas, Wildlife Garden, Foundational Plantings, and Containers.
