Cat Palm is a popular tropical palm often grown as a houseplant that forms a trunkless clusters of stems and large plums of feathery fronds. Creamy to tan flowers bloom in summer, but the fruit is rarely produced indoors. Grows best with bright indirect sun with morning sun and consistently moist well-drained soils. When grown indoors this petite palm reaches only 3' at maturity.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Water the soil directly to avoid leaf spots. Temperatures below 50F will damage foliage. Fertilize with liquid balanced fertilizer at half strength once a month during the growing season, and stop in fall.
