Burle Marx Calathea is a tropical evergreen perennial that is commonly used as a houseplant. It has upright stems and large, attractive elongated pale green foliage with strokes of dark green forming a herringbone pattern and burgundy undersides. Grows best with good indirect sun, consistently moist well-drained soils and high humidity. Gets to be 1ft tall and 2ft wide.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Medium Maintenance. Keep the soil lightly moist and water when the top first half inch is dry. Marantha are picky with water- hard or chlorinated water will crisp the edges or burn the leaves. Overwatering will turn the leaves yellow and limp, while underwatering will yellow and dry the leaves. Keep away from drafts.
