Seven-Son Flower is a deciduous shrub or small tree with open upright habit and exfoliating bark. The green leaves have no fall color but can persist into November before dropping. An abundance of fragrant white honeysuckle-like flowers bloom from late summer into fall, and the red sepals remain after the flowers drop giving the impression of a second, red, bloom. Thrives in various light and soil conditions as long as its well-draining.
