Maiden Grass is a large graceful clumping grass with lovely arching blades that can turn tan, yellow, or red in fall. Tall upright canes sport silky panicles that can persist into winter. Best color in full sun and moist well-drained soil. Tolerates salt and deer.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: ; Low Maintenance No serious pests or diseases. Fertilize yearly. Highly flammable. NOTE! can be invasive in the southeast- look for cultivars with reduced fertility or flowers in fall, and heavy mulching helps prevent self-seeding.
