MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Susceptible to the common houseplant pests. Watch for scale, aphids, mealybugs, thrips and spider mites. Water when top soil is nearly dry to the touch. If pruning is needed, do it in spring and just past a leaf node. Do not prune down to less than 25% of the plant. If leaves turn yellow its overwatered, if they turn black its getting too much direct sun. NOTE: may be a problem for house pets.
