Silver Stripe Rio Philodendron is a tropical non-climbing evergreen shrub with heart shaped dark green foliage foliage with center streak of light green, cream, or silver on cascading vines. Grows best with bright indirect sun with protection from afternoon sun and consistently moist well-drained soils. Silver Stripe Rio is an easy care house plant but toxic to pets! Place in an area that cannot be reached by them.
Silver Stripe and Rio are actually 2 cultivars they are often confused to the point of names sometimes being combined. Silver Stripe's center stripe is typicaly cream or light green with strokes of silver on both sides, whereas Rio's central stroke is silver with cream on both sides.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Let the top few inches of soil dry out between watering. Spray the leaves down regularly to deter dust/pests and provide some extra humidity.
PLANT NERD TIPS: Philodendron ‘Brasil’ are easy to propagate from cuttings. Prune a long vine and water propagate the cutting to start a new plant!
