Prunus salicina 'Santa Rosa' ~ Santa Rosa Plum
This product is only available in store. Visit our Nursery for more information.
Santa Rosa Plums have a round to slightly heart-shaped fruit with a smooth, dark purple skin. The flesh is juicy, amber-colored, and has a sweet-tart flavor. They are excellent for eating fresh, baking, making jams, and canning.
Santa Rosa Plums thrive in full sun, requiring at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight per day. They prefer well-draining soil with a pH range of 6.0 to 7.5. Adequate water drainage is important to prevent root rot.
Santa Rosa Plums are partially self-fertile, but they will produce better fruit yields if cross-pollinated with another plum tree of a different variety. Planting another compatible plum variety nearby will help ensure successful pollination and increase fruit production.
